Experience Bold, Flavor-Packed Mexican Cuisine

We had the most amazing meal at the Salsa Verde Grill. The salsas were so good - they had a lot of depth, heat, and complexity, and the salsa verde drink was absolutely exceptional. The enchiladas and burrito were very good. The service was great, the atmosphere was warm and fun, and it was a really great experience overall!

Amazing New Mexican cuisine with great vegetarian options. This is the first restaurant outside of New Mexico that I’ve seen stuffed sopapillas on the menu. They have calabacita as an option for burritos, enchiladas, sopapillas, etc. We had enchiladas with green and red sauce. Both had a good level of spice (we like things spicy). We also had stuff sopapillas, one mild and one hot. Everything was delicious!

We came in on a Monday night after walking by. Food was so flavorful, the hot salsa was SPICY just how I like it. Everyone was super friendly & inviting. They were even able to make the blueberry margarita virgin for me since I dont drink alcohol but wanted to try it! 10/10

Absolutely delicious New Mexican restaurant! We had the elotes, beef street tacos, and chicken enchiladas & beers and loved all of it. We're traveling from Texas, and the food here felt more authentic and healthier than Tex Mex food... ;) Cute deco inside and friendly staff. Limited seating but I could see that it is loved by many locals, kept seeing people take out food to go. Street parking is available for fee, might have to walk a few blocks during busy season. Vegetarian options might be limited b/c a lot of menu items use animal based fat.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have tried. Someone in our group commented that this is better than the food they had in New Mexico.

We had the veggie Enchiladas and Burritos and they were very flavorful. I wouldn't recommend the Spicy salsa, but the medium Salsa was good with Nachos.

Service is a little slow but that is part of the charm.

Best Southwestern food in New England! The New Mexico flavors and use of blue corn in the chips and tortillas really makes this restaurant a step above any other Mexican restaurant.

I had the enchiladas with “Christmas sauces” (red/green/cheese) and carnitas filling - this was truly the best enchiladas meal I have ever had. Street tacos with various meats were also excellent.

We ate here twice during our time in Bar Harbor.

la comida muy buena. y las 2 chicas que nos ayudaron tan amables. the girl from Orange County was our waitress and the one from Tennessee was very sweet too! I would recommend the chicken street tacos plate or any of the enchiladas.

Great place to enjoy delicious authentic Mexican dishes with some of the best Margaritas ever! Salsa is incredible! Location provides indoor and outdoor seating with a fun atmosphere. The only drawback from sitting outside on their deck comes from the obnoxious outdoor bar that has super loud live music across the road. Because of them it's super hard to have a conversation. That is no fault of Salsa Verde and I definitely recommend a visit ASAP. So good!

Awesome truly authentic Mexican food. Awesome, unique food you won’t find anywhere else. I am vegetarian and loved it. Order the Calabacitas enchilada - don’t substitute anything; it will be good (remember to get rid of Mexican rice if you’re vegetarian and vegetarian beans).

We were in the mood for something different than lobster... We love Mexican cuisine, so when I checked the menu, I knew we should give it a try! I had the steak street tacos, model especial, and an elote (roasted corn, Mayonnaise, chili, and cotija cheese) and it was delicious! They make their own tortillas, the steak was seasoned, and the salsa was the perfect heat.

We stopped by on our anniversary with our kids to have tacos. The food was delicious. The service was ok- a little different than we are used to. The prices are on par with most places in Bar Harbor. They were able to accommodate our kids allergies which is a plus in my book.

Fantastic authentic Mexican food in Bar Harbor. Great options for vegetarian and those that eat meat. Chips, guacamole and salsa are all fresh. The street tacos are amazing! And the hot salsa is spicy. My husband can take the heat and he said it was hot. Great drinks, food and service!
